every week, i go there for the stories and the characters and the escape. every week, i go there for him, questioning what he would buy.

i enter that door with the cheap bell attached to the window into the color and the comic store clerk who knows my name. i'll take the new alan moore and this vertigo looks good. i'll look around the store, and i'll wonder where my boy is.
